About the clinic

Dental care in Chilliwack that’s personal, not one-size-fits-all.

You’ll find us just off Airport Road, not far from the Cottonwood Mall. Many of our patients live nearby - some walk over, others drop in between errands. We used to be known as Affinity Oral Care, but the same familiar team is here, now under the Valley Family Dentistry name. Whether you're coming in for a checkup or a more involved treatment plan, we’ll take the time to explain what’s going on and what makes sense for your goals.

We offer a wide range of services - from cleanings and fillings to gum surgery, Invisalign®, implants, and sedation dentistry. We don’t rush visits or push treatments. If you’ve been avoiding the dentist or have questions, we’ll walk through everything step by step and go at a pace that works for you.

We use digital tools like iTero scans, CBCT imaging, and VELscope to get a clear picture of your oral health - and we’ll show you what we’re seeing so you’re never in the dark. For those who feel anxious, we offer sedation options to help make longer appointments easier.

We follow the BC Dental Fee Guide, offer direct billing, and accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). If you need help with financing, just ask. Our goal is to make high-quality care easier to access - whether it’s your first visit or your first in a while.

Dr. Loewen was born and raised in the Lower Mainland, and lives in Abbotsford with his wife and three children. Dr. Loewen studied and earned two bachelor's degrees at Trinity Western University, after which he attended dental school at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. After completing dental school, he moved back to Abbotsford and currently practices  dentistry in Chilliwack and Mission. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his family, reading, and woodworking.

Dr Payam Eslami (DMD, B.A.Sc, EE) has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry in the Valley since 2013.

Prior to earning his degree in dentistry, he studied in Electrical Engineering and received his Bachelor’s degree with distinction at the University of British of Columbia. He then attended and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of British Columbia.

As a former engineer, he is a strong believer in implementing the latest technologies to obtain the highest quality of care for his patients. He enjoys attending post-degree seminars and continuing education classes to add to his skill sets.

Dr. Eslami and his team are committed to providing quality care in a kind and comfortable environment. They have helped many patients from all ages overcome their anxiety towards dental treatment. He also values and strives to establish trusting long term relationships with his patients.

His hobbies include reading, traveling, hiking, and playing soccer.
