Full-arch implants

A complete new smile, anchored on implants

If you are missing most or all of your teeth, or tired of loose dentures, full-arch implants give you a secure set of teeth you can eat, speak and smile with confidently.

At a glance

  • 4 to 6 implants per arch
  • Fixed or removable options
  • 3D-planned with a CBCT scan
  • Sedation for comfort
  • Custom quote with financing available

Two ways to restore a full arch

Fixed teeth or a secure overdenture

Both options are anchored by implants, so they stay in place far better than a conventional denture. The right choice depends on your bone, budget and preferences.

Fixed full arch (All-on-X)

A full bridge of teeth permanently attached to four to six implants. It stays in at all times and is cleaned like natural teeth.

  • Feels closest to natural teeth
  • No adhesives, nothing to remove
  • Removed only by your dentist for maintenance

Implant overdenture

A removable denture that clicks securely onto implants. It is far more stable than a regular denture and can be taken out to clean.

  • Usually needs fewer implants
  • Easy to remove and clean
  • Often a more budget-friendly option

Why patients choose full arch

Eat what you love and smile without worrying

Conventional dentures rest on your gums and can slip, rub and make some foods hard to eat. Full-arch implants are anchored in your jawbone, so they bite with much more strength and stay firmly in place.

Because implants stimulate the bone, they also help slow the bone loss that changes the shape of the face after teeth are lost.

Full-arch implants can help you

  • Bite and chew with confidence
  • Speak clearly without slipping dentures
  • Stop using denture adhesives
  • Preserve jawbone and facial shape
  • Enjoy a natural-looking smile

The process

How full-arch treatment works

Consultation and 3D planning

A CBCT scan, digital impressions and a full exam show exactly where implants can go.

Your plan and quote

Fixed or removable, number of implants, timeline and a written quote, with financing options.

Extractions and implants

Any remaining failing teeth are removed and the implants placed, with sedation if you choose.

Healing with temporary teeth

Temporary teeth are typically provided while the implants bond with your bone.

Your final teeth

Your permanent full-arch teeth are made, fitted and fine-tuned for a comfortable bite.

Questions

Full-arch questions

Straight answers to the questions patients ask us most. Your dentist will go through everything that applies to you at your free consultation.

What are All-on-4 or All-on-X implants?

They are full-arch solutions: a complete, fixed bridge of teeth anchored to four to six implants in the upper or lower jaw. Because the teeth are fixed in place, they don’t come out at night and don’t need adhesives.

What is the difference between fixed full-arch teeth and an implant overdenture?

Fixed full-arch teeth are permanently attached and can only be removed by your dentist. An implant overdenture is a removable denture that clicks onto implants, so it is far more secure than a regular denture but can still be taken out to clean. Overdentures usually need fewer implants. Your dentist will help you weigh comfort, budget and upkeep.

I already wear dentures. Can I switch to implants?

Often, yes. Many patients move from loose dentures to an implant overdenture or fixed full-arch teeth. A CBCT scan shows how much bone you have; if bone has shrunk after years of denture wear, grafting or a different implant layout may be recommended.

What is a bone graft and why might I need one?

A bone graft rebuilds jawbone lost through missing teeth, gum disease or injury, so there is enough solid bone to hold an implant. Common types include socket grafts after an extraction, ridge augmentation and sinus lifts for the upper back jaw.

Do you offer sedation?

Yes, at three levels: minimal oral sedation (a pill taken before your appointment), moderate IV sedation, and deep sedation. Oral sedation is available at all our clinics and IV sedation at select clinics. Deep sedation is currently offered at our Burnaby clinic, where two sedation dentists are present throughout.

How much do dental implants cost?

A single dental implant starts from $1,299*, and a single implant with a crown starts from $2,299*. A CT scan to confirm the right implant for you is an additional $100. Multiple-tooth and full-arch treatments are quoted individually at your consultation, because they depend on how many implants and what type of teeth you need. See our pricing for details.
